“International Day of Girls and Women in Science”
“Women in Science Leadership” Round Table
To mark the International Day of Women and Girls in Science on February 11th, we have organized a special event that explores the journey from scientific excellence to institutional leadership.
Our round table, titled “Women in Science Leadership: A COST Action NEXT Round Table,” will take place at 11:00 and aims to look beyond the lab bench to discuss the roles of women who are shaping the strategic future of European science.
The discussion will be moderated by Caterina Vozzi (CNR-IFN, WG1 Leader) and will feature the insights of three distinguished leaders:
Jana Kolar, Director of the National and University Library of Slovenia and former Executive Director of CERIC-ERIC;
Anna Gregorio, Professor at the University of Trieste and founder of PicoSaTs;
Amina Taleb-Ibrahimi, Research Director at Synchrotron SOLEIL.
Together, they will discuss the challenges and transitions of leading major scientific initiatives and infrastructures. Our goal is to spark a meaningful conversation about the evolution of scientific careers and the importance of diverse leadership in driving innovation.
We warmly invite you to join us for this inspiring session.
